Maintenance:
Like all shop tools, the Champion Model 2500 Gap Setting Tool requires a minimum of shop maintenance. It should be kept clean and lubricated periodically for most efficient operation. Adjusting level should be lubricated with a light machine oil. The upper collet bushing and frame collet bearing surface should be cleaned and libricated with a light grease of Champion's thread lubricant (Part number 2612) as necessary. Most important, the collet should float freely in the frame at all times.**
